Susan Pappas has been a tireless advocate for children’s hip health throughout her career. She played a key role in establishing and developing the International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI) as well as the International Pediatric Orthopaedic Symposium (IPOS). Through her work at IHDI, she played a key role in numerous decisions, concerning website development and research submissions. Susan also volunteered at POSNA meetings and promoted hip dysplasia advocacy, research, and education through numerous exhibition presentations. Through this work, she became knowledgeable about hip dysplasia and demonstrated clinical examinations to pediatricians at the IHDI scientific booth at various conferences.
